Bethany Thies

Bethany spent 10 years as an Employee Relations Manager for the University of California, Los Angeles. She served as Director of Development, Admissions, and Program Development for an independent school. In an academic setting, her greatest joy was creating and building hands-on, exploratory programs that cultivated and nurtured her students’ love of learning.

Bethany is a published author of several essays, short stories, and poetry that appear in New York Times bestselling anthologies. She worked as a staff writer for several online publications including Nickelodeon, and The Huffington Post. She regularly contributes to her local, independent newspaper.

Her four children are unimpressed.
