Outdoor Philosophy and Orienteering

What is philosophy? Philosophy is a process of orienting ourselves to the world and each other, by evaluating our most basic assumptions. Orienteering and land navigation provide a surprising pathway to developing a perspective on topics as diverse as leadership, confidence, and the relationship between our minds and the world. Students learn how to navigate their natural surroundings and team-build with peers, which reinforces their understanding of their personal and community leadership potential. This is an outdoor program (rain or shine!) that combines philosophy with land navigation exercises and is supported with games, thought experiments and discussion. Program runs July 12-July 16 from 9:00am-12:00pm. Register with the Boys & Girls Club.
