“Thought-provoking, engaging, and fun! Our session with Everywhere Philosophy had such a warm, welcoming atmosphere it put all participants at ease right away. Dr. Mike and Bethany's programs are a great way to get people thinking, talking, and engaging with each other in fun but meaningful ways.”
— Carie, Valentine Symposium Participant
Since 2020, we’ve run an eclectic range of programs, exploring a variety of philosophically rich themes. Below you can see a sampling of several programs we created and hosted.

I, Robot Examined: An Interactive Screening
The 2004 film I, Robot serves as an entertaining vehicle for exploring Artificial Intelligence, Personhood and Discrimination. Our screening was interactive, using digital prompts and personal technology to allow the audience to safely engage in the exploration of the film's themes with each other, and with Everywhere Philosophy's Dr. Mike and Bethany. The event included post-screening drinks and conversation at the historic Latchis Theater in downtown Brattleboro, VT.
A Very Merry Discussion of A Christmas Carol
Dickens’ remarkable little book poses some very big questions. For us, it serves as a perennially relevant and accessible way to philosophize and make merry during the holiday season. During multiple interactive online events, we wassailed our way through partial readings and facilitated discussions over Dickens’ impossibly rich ode to the season. Of course, all the philosophy was accompanied by seasonal cocktails, caroling, and gay apparel.
Vivacious Valentine Symposium
Valentine’s Day set the backdrop for some facilitated discussion around love, romance, fantasy, sex, consent, and secrets in this interactive, virtual symposium. This was Everywhere Philosophy’s two-evening tribute to Valentine's Day, celebrating with interactive games, erotic poetry, and karaoke. We were also thrilled to feature very special performances recorded for Everywhere Philosophy by the incomparable, Brattleboro-based Burlesque performer, Patty Cake.
